Beautiful & highly venomous! The stunning lionfish (Pterois volitansis) is known for its enchanting, feather-like fins – but these fins are extremely venomous. All thirteen dorsal fin spines, one pelvic fin spine, and three anal fin spines are venomous. So be sure to keep your distance when diving and treat them with respect.
