2021年11月22日 · Pytorch layer norm states mean and std calculated over last D dimensions. Based on this as I expect for (batch_size, seq_size, embedding_dim) here calculation should be over (seq_size, embedding_dim) for layer norm as last 2 dimensions excluding batch dim.

2019年9月18日 · Sequential needs to be initialized by a list of Layer instances, such as tf.keras.layers.Activation, tf.keras.layers.Dense. tf.contrib.layers.layer_norm is functional instead of Layer instance. There is a third party implementation of layer normalization in keras style - keras-layer-normalization. But I haven't tested in tensorflow.

But if the batch size is too small to collect reasonable statistics, then layer norm is preferred.
