Hardoi- 241405, Uttar Pradesh, India. The purpose of the project activity is to install one 55 TPH biomass fired boiler and a 7.9 MW turbine to cater the electricity and steam demand of distillery unit of DCM. Surplus power generated from the system would be exported to grid.

The project implementation started in April 2015 and is currently operational in the central zone of Uttar Pradesh (Madhyanchal) in Hardoi District across three blocks - Kachhauna, Behandar and Kothawan. The project covers a total of 720 villages, 164 Gram Panchayats (GPs) with 90,000+ Households (HH) and a population of around 6 lacs.

The project will benefit over 12,000 individuals across 8 villages of Hardoi namely Udhranpur, Behta Gokul, Behta Dheera, Itoriya, Udaypur, Teriya, Bhagormal and Nizampur. Diageo India along with CSR Box will help install 8 RO water filtration plants with a capacity of 1500 Litres/day each in these villages.
