To understand a little better you hear a squeal thru the speaker every time you key up? Have you tried anther mic to see if that cures the problem, if it doesn't then we'll get into troubleshooting.

2021年6月7日 · You're looking for any signs of brown or black gunk either on the top or at the base of the capacitor even just a spot, or the top of the capacitors being anything other than completely flat. Even if they're just slightly raised they're knackered. The squealing sound on transmit could be RF getting into the audio input of your radio.

If you are using a power microphone, try turning the gain down. Also try using the original microphone. If your CB has a Dynamike control, try turning it down.

2013年6月21日 · If I turn the mic 1/4 turn with the radio gain to 12-1:00, I get no squeal, anything further than 3 o'clock it squeals. I found this radio (phillippines) in a yard sale a few years ago, I've never had the cover off and I don't know if it has talkback or not.

And a great many radios that do have effective nb have had a 'peak&tweak' tune done by incompetent 'techs' that screwed up the internal adjustments, causing the nb to become ineffective. In some cases, pulse-noise actually increases after that kind of 'tune up'. Something to consider.
