Wombats are efficient diggers, and their burrows can be from 3 to 30 meters (10 to 100 feet) long and up to 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) deep. The burrow's diameter is about the same size as the wombat and can be up to 20 inches wide, large enough for a small person to crawl into.
