From a sellers point of view, you will typically get a bit less but you sell the equipment faster and with less hassle. As for the researching on the internet, there's not one location for all vintage cameras. Typically you'll find a website that focuses on one type or brand.

2011年12月22日 · That looks like a pretty standard (albeit very nice) folding field camera from the later 19th or early 20th century. I don't believe that it is home-made. The lens looks more modern. It's a large-format camera for sure, but without a sense of scale, I can only guess at 5x7. Edited to add: The lens s/n appears to date it to about 1915.

Question on Maintenance of folding/bellows cameras
2021年8月27日 · A bit of leather dressing was all I needed. I use this camera every couple of months, so the bellows get a work out periodically. I store it with the bellow closed. Alternately, I also have a 1940's vintage enlarger that was stored in a garage attic for several years, in lots of heat and cold. The bellows disintegrated as soon as I moved the them.
