2023年12月29日 · RoN, IMO seems to miss the mark by trying to be a successor to SWAT 4, at the same time not utilizing the core philosophy of a SWAT game to the extent it needs to be one. RoN fails to convey it in a convincing way, that's the issue, and that's the single biggest advantage of SWAT 4 over RoN. That's not to say RoN is a bad game, far from it.

Many games after it have tried, and many have failed to replicate what SWAT 4 achieved (Hell, even Splinter Cell, it's main competitor at the time, fell off into the abyss). To me, SWAT 4 is the perfect tactical FPS, a culumination of multiple years of development and learnt experience over 3 games that led to this magnum opus so to speak.
