NQF has a portfolio of endorsed performance measures that can be used to measure and quantify healthcare processes, outcomes, patient perceptions, and organizational structure and/or systems that are associated with the ability to provide high-quality care.
Electronic Quality Measures (eMeasures) - National Quality Forum
These measures were posted for public comment in 2010. In July 2010, 44 of these 113 measures were published in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Electronic Health Record Incentive Program Final Rule. NQF also convened an expert panel to review these retooled measures and ensure the meaning and intent did not change.
Patient Safety Measures: Complications - National Quality Forum
2011年12月6日 · This project sought to identify and endorse new performance measures for accountability and quality improvement that address patient safety, and, specifically, complications of health care. Additionally, consensus standards related to patient safety endorsed by NQF before 2009 also will be evaluated under the maintenance process.
NQF-endorsed measures undergo maintenance of endorsement evaluations approximately every three years. A priority is placed on evaluating related and competing measures at the same time to foster harmonization of endorsed measures. NQF is looking to work more closely with developers as measures become fully developed and ready for submission.

A subsequent phase of work recommended 20 measures for endorsement in the areas of: tobacco and alcohol use, depression screening, medication adherence, and hospital-based inpatient psychiatric services.
