Ahh no I did it from a cooked one. The wiki shows that using a pestle and mortar on all the different types of karambwan always gives karambwan paste, so I assumed it would work with any. Yep its noted on the wiki page for the paste though, just FYI. GL. A weapon coated with this poison will have the suffix (kp).

So far, the only option I can think of is getting a rune spear from the mystery box from quizz random event, but that isn't very reliable.
