One more tradition is Santa’s naughty and nice list. The first mention of such a list occurs in the song, 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town.' J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie wrote the fun Christmas song in 1934. The song included the lyrics, 'He’s making a list, He’s checking it twice, He’s gonna find out who’s naughty or nice.'
