You could prep the soil, sow seeds, then place wire a few inches above the ground-----so the chickens can not get to the seed/sprouts----as the grass grows up through the wire the chickens will keep it mowed for you.

We hauled 10 grain-truck laods of that stuff away a couple decades. You said a lot of woven wire, we had fencing from 90 acres - it was several tons of wire.

2013年6月20日 · For our chicken lot, we used cattle panels with 6 foot, 1"mesh chicken wire on top that with wood and T posts. The panels are to keep the larger predators like dogs/coyotes out. For Dexter cows, 4 strand barbed wire with 4' high woven field fence, wood every 40' and metal T posts on 8' centers between the wood.

I have been using a piece of chicken wire on the old barrel, but as you know that has pretty large openings. I'm concerned that burning this paper will likely result in 'fly-aways'. Not really an ember but more like little pieces of burning paper.
