2024年11月24日 · As an aside, I still know guys who won't buy a S&W revolver made with MIM parts because they feel it represents a decline in quality of manufacturing, but they own several of the newer M&P and even SD pistols. The one good thing is, when the 3rd gen pistols do show up on occasion, they can be had for a pretty good price usually.

2011年6月8日 · Nelson specializes in Smith revolvers and Colt 1911 pistols. He does various types of custom work. I am not sure if he does some of the fancier projects. I can tell you his trigger work is outstanding on Smith revolvers. I have had 3 guns there.

2019年6月10日 · I really do like the 2nd & 3rd generation Smith & Wesson .45ACP. I think it was an underrated pistol, these three mod 645 top left, 4506 middle and 4566 bottom right will feed anything. I think they were the best semi auto pistols ever produced by S&W.

2016年9月30日 · Some say that the pistols sit too high in the hand, but I carried a Sig P220 for many years and find the S&W to be the same. Just get a high grip. That was hard to do with the 2nd Gen 645/745, but with the 3rd Smith added the lateral relief cut where the frame meets the trigger guard and that made a world of difference.
