You will want a tune to take advantage of the better airflow (and to get rid of any O2/SAP codes that might start showing up.) //Edit to say I don't know the N52 specifically, this is just generalized sort-of-BMW-specific stuff.

Build Help I recently got a 2006 530xi and I’ve been trying to research ways to make power gains, nothing huge don’t want to tank the reliability by going non-NA, but I figured Catless Headers would give a small bit, with a tune I feel it’d be decent, plus the car stock sounds too tame for me.

2021年5月18日 · a full bolt on modified N52 engine with tune will get you about on par with stock 335i power. going much above 335i power will usually require turbo/super charger, injectors and will start to really negate the reliability and simplicity of the N52 engine. typical power mods include; intake intake manifold (from 330i if not already a 330i)

2021年5月11日 · If you've ever seen an N52 intake or exhaust port, they're beautiful fully-CNC machined very much like the S54 is, unlike an M54 that's rough cast. and still has the mold lines. It seems to flow a lot, certainly makes a lot of power. As far as I know the rotating assembly and heads of all N52's are identical.

2019年4月19日 · Tuning a 328i to take benefit of a catless header means that you're hitting 130+mph, something a NA N52 engine will take over a mile to hit probably. It's not like a turbo engine where you can get all the torque down low from going catless and use it everyday.
