Dr. Wilks Hall was originally the Ashford Grammar school built in 1635. No.18 is our Railway section on the ground floor. We cover the history of Ashford Borough from Neolithic to present day. A lot to see and very educational for all ages. All run by volunteers,open from April to the end of October. Free entry. The museum's varied collection comprises artefacts relating to the Borough of Ashford and its people throughout the whole of human history. Visitors can explore a number of themed displays, including: Prehistoric Ashford Romano-British Ashford Anglo-Saxon Ashford Ashford in The First World War Ashford in World War Two Lost Businesses of Ashford Ashford's Old Hospital and Medical History The Ashford Railway The Ashford Market Smuggling and the 'Aldington Gang. The Museum is open from April to October.

Nice museum in the historical church square. They have a wonderful collection of memorabilia from the Ashford railway works. I always enjoy stopping by once or twice a year to refresh my memories. 313same的完整评论
